Home Care Assistant
Location: Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties
Type: Part-Time
Pay: Starting at $16.50 hr.
Position Summary
The Home Care Assistant provides non-medical support services in a home setting. This includes assistance with daily activities such as light housekeeping, meal prep, grooming support, medication reminders, errands, and companionship.
Key Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as:

Meal preparation

Light housekeeping and laundry

Grooming and dressing

Mobility and transfer support

Provide companionship and engage in conversation

Accompany clients to appointments or run errands

Monitor and report changes in client behavior or needs

Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols

Maintain a respectful and supportive relationship with clients and their families
Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old

High school diploma or GED preferred

Prior caregiving experience (professional or family) preferred but not necessary

Dependable, compassionate, and patient

Strong communication and time management skills

Ability to follow directions and work independently

Resident Cook
Location: Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties

Position Summary
The Healthy Living Cook is responsible for preparing meals tailored to each client’s dietary needs and preferences. You’ll be cooking in a home environment—often for 1 to 10 individuals—and helping support their overall wellness through nutritious, well-prepared meals.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and prepare daily meals based on dietary needs (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, plant-based, renal diets, etc.)

Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and culturally appropriate

Grocery shop as needed or create grocery lists for staff to purchase

Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and food prep area

Follow food safety standards and reheating/storage protocols

Monitor food inventory and reduce waste

Accommodate special requests or allergies as needed

Build positive relationships with residents, staff, and family members
Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old

High school diploma or GED preferred
-
1+ year experience cooking in a home, care facility, or food service setting

Knowledge of special diets and nutrition principles preferred

ServSafe certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to cook for multiple people and follow specific menus
